Meet the Teeth

Big Teeth Productions was founded in 2005 by Elise & Gregg Jaffe. They started the company as way to meet chicks but soon developed a deep affinity for all things video and the ability to invent exalted titles for themselves.

Gregg Jaffe
Creative Director aka Grand Poobah

Gregg did some time in the big agency world as an account guy at Ogilvy & Mather, Chicago. Besides learning how to traverse the tricky balance between the creative department and the client, he also realized that he preferred wearing jeans to khakis. On any given day Gregg is a writer, director, editor, cameraman, and freelance cupcake model.

Elise Jaffe
Executive Producer aka Little Miss Bossy Pants

Besides owning the company's "spokesteeth", Elise contributes over 10 years of experience in Advertising, TV and New Media Production. Her career began in Children's Television at Reading Rainbow and Blue’s Clues. She's been a Producer at JWT, Grey New York and DraftFCB, as well as VSA Partners and Vitamin Pictures, for clients big and small. Elise never met a schedule she couldn’t organize, a budget she couldn’t manage, or a song she wouldn't rock out karaoke-style.

  

At Big Teeth Productions no one is relegated to only doing what their title calls for. We aim to make it a collaborative environment where good ideas can come out and play with all the kids.

DANNY MCCARTHY,  Producer aka Utility Man

After graduating from UW-Madison and a writing gig at Big Ten Network, Danny traded Lake Mendota for Lake Michigan. He started as an intern/PA at Big Teeth before landing full time at BTP.  He now greases the wheels and shovels coal into the metaphorical furnace that is Big Teeth Productions. PATRICK SMITH, Creative Director, Web & Interactive

For over 15 years Patrick has been building brands in the digital space for retail, B2B and health verticals. At Big Teeth Productions he specializes in interactive projects and branded content. He's also taught Brand Identity at the Illinois Institute of Art but at Big Teeth we've taught him how to hold the boom mic. 

 

BRYAN WARD, Audio Fella

A childhood insomniac, the thousands of hours spent listening to old-time radio instilled in Bryan a somewhat scary attention to sonic detail, mood, and timing; as well as a sense of humor that your grandpa would find dated. In addition to providing top-notch audio fun at Big Teeth, Bryan plays banjo, erhu, and theremin.

 

ANDY HOFFMAN, Editor

Andy has always been a risk taker, a thrill seeker, and an adrenaline junky. That’s why he quit his job after 11 years in project management to pursue a second career in video production. At Big Teeth, Andy edits, shoots, cajoles and occasionally acts.

 

 

Winnie Cooper JaffeWINNIE COOPER JAFFE, CFO aka office dog

As far back as she can remember, Winnie always had a  love of both video production and that elusive bit of cartilage attached to her rear, aka her tail.
